ROBERTO MORENO

Roberto Moreno throughout his career is recognized for his great effort, perseverance, technique in getting the cars right, creativity and speed in the world of motorsport. He won championships in the British F-Ford and in the F-Ford 2000. He had his career burned out when he failed to qualify for Lotus in the 1982 Dutch GP. He ran in the CART in 1985 and 1986 and won the 1988 F-3000.

He achieved the miracle of scoring 1 point at the Australian GP in 1987 by the small French team AGS. He ran at Coloni (1989) and Eurobrun (1990) where he got the classification in some GPs. At the end of the 1990 season, Benetton is called in a hurry to replace Alessandro Nannini. In his first race for the team he comes in 2nd place. Achieve another miracle by classifying Andrea Moda's car for the 1992 Monaco GP.

In 1996 he returned to CART and came in 3rd place in the 500 Miles of Michigan by the small team Payton Coyne. In the following years he is called on to replace injured pilots and obtain excellent results, earning him the nickname "Super Sub".

In 2000, in the Patrick team, he disputes the title until the last race, but he is in 3rd in the championship.
