CHENOWTH SAN DIEGO STEEL PRODUTCS - 1960 INDIANAPOLIS 500 - Unisex t-shirt
Built by Chuck Chenowth in 1960, this was the first car to attempt to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 with a small block Chevrolet v8. Part marketing for his company, San Diego Steel Products and part hobby, Chuck built much of the car himself and handed off the bodywork to the famed builder Eddie Kuzma. Chenowth enlisted Mike Magill as a driver for the 1961 Indianapolis 500 and suffered an engine failure in qualifying.
