The Williams – Honda FW11B is the winning car of the Formula 1 World Championship in 1987. After the defeat in the last race in the 1986 world championship due to the errors of the two pilots, the English team updated the FW11 demonstrating the validity of the Honda motorized car.

Nelson Piquet with Williams – Honda FW11B n.6 won the 1987 F1 World Championship, for the Brazilian driver was the third world title. The season was very balanced and to compete for the victory of the title were four drivers: Ayrton Senna on Lotus 99T n.12, Alain Prost on McLaren MP4/3 n.1, Nigel Mansell Williams FW11B n.5 and Nelson Piquet Williams FW11B, the latter conquered three wins in the Grand Prix of Germany, Hungary and Italy and many podiums, and thanks to the absence of the teammate in the last two races he graduated world champion. Williams won the Constructors’ World Championship with nine seasonal victories.
